Seth meets his brother

This is Seth meeting his brother for the first time. I think within the last day or two the concept that mom had a baby in her might have actually sunk in. He was immediately very gentle and caring. I sense he understands that the baby is important to him. You can see him being "nice" by carefully patting his hand on the baby from behind. We had a hard time giving the baby to grandma after this. Seth wanted to be the one to hand him over. He tried so hard to gently pick the baby up without squeezing it. Dad was quick to offer unseen help.

Sleeping Baby

He ate half his lunch and wanted to go back to sleep.

Corbin Jack White

What we know about him so far is that he loves to sleep! This is a drastic contrast to his big brother. Desirae looks really good and is doing much better than she did with the complicated circumstance of the first baby. Jon is relieved.

Corbin peaks his eyes open to when he hears his mom's and dad's voices up close. He is often sucking on his bottom lip, a trick that Seth used to do as well.

He looks like an old man with his brand new puffy eyes. Jon forgot the camera in the OR so we didn't get any pics until after his bath.

A terribly framed picture of a cute pink baby.

Seth learned lots of fancy tricks

Seth turned one, got a little messy, and decided to become a little boy.

He hoped to walk, so he began by practicing his standing

And tried swimming as well.

And generally practiced being as cute as possible.

He contemplated a plan of action to learn to walk. He knew it would not be easy

He consulted his mommy for moral support

and tried training in non-traditional ways

He knew that if he put his mind to it he could accomplish walking

Finally the day came that he would cross the barrier into toddlerhood

First food.

Seth got his first solid foods just before the holiday. We gave him squash and he LOVED it! He giggled the entire time he ate. He was so thrilled with the experience.

So i have like 6 videos of him just like this....giggling with every bite he takes. I think he's like his dad-he likes food a lot.

Christmas!

We went and saw the lights at Thanksgiving Point with the Eltons and the Garners. It was freezing cold and snowing. We bundled up and rode in an open horse carriage. Liam got some glasses that made all the lights look like snowmen.

Christmas Eve featured this ragged bunch for what was a really fantastic musical number. Jake transitioned from the hymn into a Metallica song, and probably could have gone for a while had someone not called him on it. Too bad.

Bathrobe time! Jon and Desirae got to sing too. They hadn't planned on it, but pulled it off on request. It turned out pretty good with no preparation at all.

Seth got the cutest little coat with floppy doggie ears. We stick him in it every chance we get.

Seth got lots of cute little clothes. He is a well dressed little man.

Christmas photo! Please forgive Jon's hair. He was on vacation and didn't really give a flying crap at the time.

On the following Saturday we hunted some chuckers. We must be used to pheasants because we lost about half of them. The weather turned out to be great and we had a great time.

Eric hanging out on the deck waiting to shoot some clay pigeons.

Hear we all are in all of dad's camo overalls. Jake decided to go urban on us.

Seth is 6 months old and always happy. He loved being passed around the holiday crowd.

Seth got exactly what he wanted. Where did he get those eye lashes?

Seth shows off his loot.

Sorry this is sideways. I sneaked around back to see all the kids coming in. There is a lot going on, but my favorite part is where Liam runs in and it takes him a second to realize that all his presents are wrapped.

Christmas in Lehi

We did an early Christmas at our house in Lehi with Desi's parents and her brother's family. Seth had already figured out how to open presents during a secret quest under Jenny's tree. He knew just what to do with this one.

Kaden on the other hand was an experience professional present opener.

Rob won a game of Christmas themed charades by being run over by an entire team of reindeer. The prize was these singing reindeer antlers. They also have lights. Ya.

Seth got his share of excitement. We totally enjoyed dinner and all the fun. We finished the night by playing Christmas bingo. We ate a lot of the M&M markers and Jon won a Snuggie!
